Day Care Assistant

Bingham Centre, Frenchay, Bristol, is recruiting Full-time and Part-time Day Care Assistants for its day service in Frenchay, near Bristol. Our day service provides a varied timetable of activities for adults with learning difficulties, both in-house and out-and-about in the community.

You must already have a UK right to work to apply for this role and you must live in the UK already. UK Visa Sponsorship is NOT available.

We have full-time and part-time contracts available to work on weekdays up to 37.5 hours per week. No weekends! No nights! No Bank Holidays! Bingham Centre’s normal opening times are from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.00pm.

We are looking for a resourceful, ideas person, who is fun, outgoing and confident to work in a team and 1:1 with a client out in the community. This could be horse riding, swimming, bowling, cinema, etc. In house, you could be baking, singing, doing arts and crafts and celebrating seasonal events we take part in. Activities are currently focused on Covid safe sessions, and some of these example activities are currently on hold.

You will need to be passionate about making a difference in the lives of our service users, a good communicator and have good written skills.

You must be a car driver with a full UK driving license, to support client access to the community. You would be required to use your own car for which you would receive a mileage allowance.

We prefer to employ people who have had previous experience and if you have a relevant NVQ2/QCF you would receive a pay enhancement.
