Care Futures

Care Futures – Celebrating 74 Years of Social Care!

Home Away From Home

Care Futures is a family run social care provider that traces its roots back to 1950. We support adults with learning difficulties and physical disabilities, many of whom have profound or complex needs. Care Futures operates four residential homes offering a variety of services to meet differing personal needs, including short and long term residential and respite care. Our Day Care Service provides tailored programmes for opportunities in-house on our Bristol sites and off-site within the community. Take a look at our services to find out more about us and to see what we have to offer. If you would like further information, then contact us.

Our Mission Statement

“Quality People, Customised Care and Continual Improvement”

Quality People

We want our staff to be committed to make a positive difference to the lives of our service users. We will offer core training, a comprehensive induction and on-going support to ensure competence. In addition staff attitude needs to be empowering, respectful and putting the people who use our service at the centre of their life.

Customised Care

We recognise that no two service users are the same. We endeavour to work with the individual, their family and Commissioners to understand the person’s daily needs, future goals and health requirements. We will agree which part of the organisation can meet these needs and will provide the resources and staff ratios to support the package of care.

Continual Improvement

We will monitor our service quality to include keyworker feedback, resident and family surveys and we will ensure that where we can improve any part of the service we will plan to achieve it.

Our Vision

We empower you to take control of your future. You trust us to care, support and innovate. Our goal is the realisation of your hopes and dreams.

Our Core Values

Valuing People

Ensuring we put people who use our service at the centre of their lives, empowering them, respecting them and providing a quality of support that equals what we would want for our own relatives.

Choice

Supporting people who use our service to make choices about their lives and offering new opportunities and experiences within the home and within the community.

Participation

Enabling all people who use our services to participate in their home life to the level of their ability. Encouragement from enthusiastic staff for them to achieve and maintain independent skills.

Safety

A zero tolerance of abuse by staff working at any of the services. Engaging with other health professional when residents challenge their peers and the service to enable us to find a way forward that satisfies all parties.

Working Together

Our employees will be enthusiastic, motivated, creatively use resources and will be committed to our values. Residents deserve staff with a smile on their face and who are pleased to share their lives with them. All employees should have a “can-do” attitude. We recognise that families are important to most residents and where possible we will include them in life planning. We promote working relationships with health and social care professionals.

We endeavour to keep abreast of current issues, both regulatory, advisory and best practice.
